Walter Mondale
Walter Mondale, born January 5, 1928, was the Vice President of the United States during President Jimmy Carter’s time in office. Walter began his political career as the United States Senator for Minnesota. He caught the eye of Jimmy Carter, who went on to be the 39th President of the United States. Walter Mondale also served as the Ambassador to Japan from 1993-1996 during the Clinton administration.
In his personal life, Walter was married to his wife, Joan, from 1955 until her death in 2014. The couple had three children together. Walter sadly passed away at the age of 93 on April 19, 2021.
