Go for the gold! With the Winter Olympics upon us once more, the world is meeting a whole new cast of MVP athletes from around the world. As the best athletes from around the globe gather, team USA made sure to be packed with talent for the Beijing Games, which kick off Feb. 4. The 222 person delegation includes everyone from figure skaters, hockey players, and luge champs. Fans will be rooting for favorites like Shaun White as well as fresh faces like Alysa Liu as they dominate the snow or enchant on ice.

Lindsey Jacobellis
Lindsey Jacobellis is a snowboarder who has been competing in the Olympics since 2006. She won her first gold medal (and the first for Team USA) during the Women’s snowboard cross competition.
