“I like strong women,” Tom, 35, told HELLO! Magazine in an interview all the way back in Sept., 2015. “My mothers and sisters are very strong women, immensely independent and very capable and that’s what I feel comfortable with,” he added. That could explain why he’s such a gentleman.
And while it may sound a little creepy that the actor wants a woman who resembles his mother, his reasoning for it is SO sweet! “My mother places a huge importance on decency and kindness and always has – and the older I get the more I realize how rare that is,” he added. WOW! Tom’s mom definitely sounds amazing!

Clearly no one can replace Tom’s mom, it’s uncanny how she sort of sounds a lot like his current girlfriend, Taylor Swift, 26. Tom definitely got a glimpse of how kind the singer is when she visited a children’s hospital on their trip to Australia. But more importantly, he’s witnessed how strong she’s been in the wake of her explosive feud with Kanye West, 39, and Kim Kardashian, 35!
After Kim humiliated the singer on social media by leaking a recorded conversation between her and Kanye, Tay didn’t back down. Instead, she defended herself, with a lengthy message she shared on all of her social media accounts.
Some of Taylor’s girl squad have stayed quiet in light of the scandal, but Tom has stuck by her side, and wasn’t ashamed to be seen out in public with her. The two were spotted going out for the first time since the Kimye war, and they looked happier than ever! While the couple have given us more than enough signs that their love is forever, we’re thinking Taylor’s recent act of bravery was just the push he needed to realize she’s the one. And now he knows Taylor is the kind of woman he wants to spend his life with!
