Donald Trump, 73, took to the dais at the House of Representatives on February 4, 2020 for the last State of the Union of his presidency, where he touted what he saw as his accomplishments of the last year: the assassination of Iran’s Qasem Soleimani, the continued effort to build the border wall between the United States and Mexico, the pardoning of controversial military leaders, and more. Joined by his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, 49, daughter Ivanka Trump, son-in-law Jarred Kushner, and more political allies, the president spoke at length about what he wanted to do with the rest of his first term as president before the November 2020 general election. Looming over the event was the fact that tomorrow, February 5, would be the end of the Senate impeachment trial — maybe the day he could be convicted and booted out of office.
