Shots have been fired! Donald Trump has been under siege ever since he made some very distasteful comments about Mexican immigrants on June 16. Most recently, Latin pop sensation Shakira took to Twitter to slam the Donald. See what she said here! Donald Trump's, 69, campaign launch for the Republican presidential nomination got off to a very rocky start when he made some crude remarks about Mexican immigrants, characterizing them all as criminals. And now, Shakira, 38, has become the latest celebrity to take issue with Mr. Trump's very ignorant words.
Numerous Latin stars, including Becky G and Ricky Martin, have all taken a stand by denouncing the reality TV host’s comments. Shakira is now the latest entertainer to join the fray, as she took to Twitter on June 30 to share her opinion on his remarks. “This is a hateful and racist speech that attempts to divide a country that for years has promoted diversity and democracy! No one living in this century should stand behind so much ignorance,” she posted. Lips don’t lie, Donald. Shakira says, “You’re fired!”
Donald Trump Lashes Out After Macy’s Drops Him From Stores
The business mogul’s troubles have spiraled out of control ever since he made his controversial remarks. First, Spanish language broadcaster Univison dropped his Miss America beauty pageant and then, NBC followed suit by dropping not only Miss America, but Celebrity Apprentice as well. Macy’s also announced that they will no longer carry his clothing line in their stores, although, Trump claims that he dumped them first. Trump’s presidential run is costing him a lot more than even he anticipated.
