Protests In Reaction To George Floyd Verdict
After the verdict was read in the trial of Derek Chauvin, the white police officer accused of murdering George Floyd, an unarmed Black man, people took to the streets in protest. Waving signs and shouting, the protesters let their voices be heard. At the same time, police geared up to fight back, just as they did in the wake of George Floyd’s death in May 2020.

Derek Chauvin’s Mug Shot
The Minnesota Department of Corrections released a new mug shot of Derek Chauvin. The former Minneapolis police officer was convicted on April 20 of murder in the 2020 death of George Floyd.
