Billy Joel, May 9, 1949, is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. Known widely among fans as the ‘Piano Man’ for his skills on the keyboard and his 1973 hit tune, Billy has curated an incredible discography and won numerous awards and honors throughout his life. 

He has sold 13 albums between 1971-2001, with his first debuting when he was roughly 22 years old! Among his honors, he received the coveted Kennedy Center Honor in 2013 for his contributions to the arts as well as a number of honorary doctorates from various universities. He has been nominated for 23 Grammy Awards, winning five. He is best known for tunes like ‘Piano Man,’ ‘Uptown Girl,’ and ‘We Didn’t Start the Fire,’ among countless others.
