The 2021 People’s Choice Awards took place on Dec. 7 in Los Angeles. The event was hosted by ‘SNL’ comedian Kenan Thompson and featured appearances from some of the biggest fan-favorite celebrities of the year. Blake Shelton, H.E.R. and Christina Aguilera all performed at the show, where pop legend Christina also being honored with the Music Icon Award.
Trendsetter Kim Kardashian was named the Fashion Icon, while Halle Berry received the honor of People’s Icon. The Rock was also honored, as he was named the People’s Champion at the show. Other attendees at the 2021 show included JoJo Siwa, Chase Stokes, Becky G, Cardi B, Lili Reinhart, Leslie Jones, Tracee Ellis Ross, Wanda Sykes, Ginnifer Goodwin, and more. Of course, the awards were all fan-voted, so it really was all about the PEOPLE!

Kim Kardashian West accepts the Fashion Icon of 2021 award on stage during the 2021 People’s Choice Awards. The Skims mogul wore black Balenciaga and thanked ex-husband Kanye West during her speech.

Kim proved why she’s a fashion icon as she took the stage in the skintight lace look which she wore with wild, blackout sunglasses and heeled boots that seamlessly blended in with her ensemble.
She thanked ex Kanye West “for really introducing me to the fashion world.” She told the audience, “I fell in love with fashion and I’m so inspired by so may people but again, this is like a dream that I get to wake up and wear these amazing clothes and try new things and take a risk. I’m so humbled.”

Blake Shelton took the stage at the People’s Choice Awards. He performed his song “Come Back as a Country Boy”. Later he was awarded Country Artist Of The Year.
In his acceptance speech, he thanked fans saying, “I swear, the longer I go on the more I realize that all these award shows, the fan-voted awards are the ones that mean the most to me.”

Christina Aguilera wows in yellow silk at the 2021 People’s Choice Awards. She received the Music Icon honor at the show. During her speech, she said it was “an exceptional honor” to receive the “surreal” award.
“I have always strived for my music to communicate messages of empowerment, whether it’s speaking my own truths or giving voice to those unable to do so on their own. My artistry has always been for the fighters in this world, for those who face adversity, for those wanting to evoke change, my music is for you.”

Christina wows in gold as she accepts the first-ever Music Icon award. NBC exec Jan Neal called X-Tina the “voice of a generation” ahead of the honors.
“She not only has an extraordinary voice, but as a creator, produces music that evokes true emotion and resonates across so many different demographics,” Neal said in a press release. “Christina is an idol and we cannot wait to celebrate her successes and present her with the inaugural Music Icon award.”

During her speech she thanked the “bada– women” who made the Marvel movie happen, giving shout-outs to director Cate Shoreland, Pugh, Rachel Weisz, and producer Victoria Alonzo.”I will really treasure this,” Johansson ended her speech. “It means so much to me.”
