Erika decided to give birth in a more relaxed environment as she ended up delivering her baby in her California home on June 21, according to People magazine. Her daughter, whom she named Shane, came into the world weighing 6 lbs., 3 oz. SO sweet!

But to make her birthing story even MORE epic, Erika’s Parenthood co-star, Dax Shepard, 41, actually tweeted at the actress WHILE she was in labor. “Can I drive you to the hospital? I want to see you at your very chubbiest point,” Dax joked. The actress replied, “I am fully in labor right now. Wanna come over?” And while it was all pretty comical, she wasn’t kidding!

Erika and Cole announced that they were expecting a baby girl via Twitter back in March with the sweetest pic of Erika and her puppy. The actress captioned the photo, “”This boy is getting a little sister. A human sister… She’ll make her first appearance tomorrow at #Confirmation.”

And she did! Erika ended up debuting her sizable baby bump the very next day at the premiere of the HBO film starring Kerry Washington, 39, who has since announced that she too is pregnant!
The first-time mama also got pretty candid on social media in the days leading up to Shane’s birth. Erika Instagrammed pics of her bump in a bathing suit, her bump in a bed, and even her bump meeting Parenthood’s Mae Whitman! But even better, on June 17, she captioned herself a “Ticking time bomb” on noting that her little lady could arrive “any time now.” And boy was she right!
