Super Bowl star Patrick Mahomes is set to become a first-time dad! The NFL quarterback will soon welcome a baby with fiance Brittany Matthews.
Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews are expecting their first child together — and the NFL superstar can’t wait to be a dad. A source close to the Super Bowl LIV MVP, 24, and his fitness trainer fiancée, 25, spoke to HollywoodLife exclusively about how he’s feeling. “Patrick is a little nervous but very excited to become a father,” the insider dished. “He chats with other QBs in the league like Russ [Wilson] and takes all their advice.”
The source explained that Patrick’s sights were very much set on another Super Bowl championship, however he’s equally as excited about his new role as a dad. “He is very happy to be chasing another NFL championship and playing football, but Brittany is the love of his life,” the source told HL. “His life is so blessed right now [with an] amazing family and career and obviously that insane contract he signed. Patrick can’t wait to see Brittany as a mother. He knows that she will be the greatest mom ever. It has been a long time coming.”
The couple first revealed the exciting news on Sept. 29 when they shared a sonogram pic to Instagram. It came less than one month after the pair got engaged! Patrick surprised his future wife with a stunning square-cut diamond ring right after he received his Super Bowl LIV ring during a formal ceremony with his team, the Kansas City Chiefs. The star player got down on one knee in a suite at his team’s home stadium, and installed a lit-up sign that read: “Will you marry me?” Additionally, the room was filled with white flowers and dainty candles. How sweet!
Brittany has been keeping fans updated on her pregnancy journey, most recently sharing a video of herself powering through a rigorous workout routine, with her growing baby bump on display. The certified personal trainer completed a range of glute and hamstring workouts, which totally impressed her followers.
