Strike a pose, Hollywood. Anyone who is anyone in movies, music, television, and most importantly fashion, has made their way to New York City to walk the red carpet for the 2019 Met Gala. On the first Monday of May, the industries most beautiful people, who are carefully chosen by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, arrive at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in elegant attire, matching the year’s theme. For 2019, the theme coincides with the grand opening of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibition: “Camp: Notes on Fashion” opening on May 9, 2019. The gala this year will be co-hosted by Lady Gaga and Harry Styles, with stars like Serena Williams and Blake Lively acting as co-chairs. With stars like Kim Kardashian, Selena Gomez, and Rihanna poised to hit the red carpet, fashion’s ‘biggest night’ is bound to live up to it’s name this year.
