Kim Kardashian has been recreating multiple outfits that were first worn by Naomi Campbell during multiple ’90s runways. Unfortunately, the imitation does not seem to have been well-received. Naomi does not talk about the situation, but on more than one occasion, she made a point to post a throwback photo of herself in specific outfits on Instagram right after Kim stepped out wearing them. Then, when Naomi was asked about Kim’s copycat style during an April 2019 interview, she simply answered, “Next question.” This is not the first time that there has been tension between Naomi and the Kardashians, though. Back when Kim and her husband, Kanye West, covered ‘Vogue’ in 2014, Naomi dissed them by saying, “I’m a fashion model and I’ve been working for 28 years, and when you get a ‘Vouge’ cover, it’s a build in your career. It’s a stepping-stone to achieve that. And I’m a fashion model, what more can I say?”
Kim has given Naomi credit for inspiring her style — she even captioned one Instagram pic in a Naomi imitation outfit, ‘Naomi Forever.’ Despite the model’s shade, Kim has continued to rock look-alike outfits, like this silver mini dress with plunging neckline.
