Jessica Meir
Jessica Meir has just made history as one of the first two women to spacewalk outside of the International Space Station with NASA. Jessica, originally from Maine, has dedicated her life to studying space and her education in the field of study is staggering. She’s earned a slew of honors from various prestigious fellowships as well as her doctorate in her field of study. Jessica began working for NASA in 2000, and was eventually selected as part of a team of astronauts in June 2013. Jessica, along with Christine Koch, made history on Friday October 18, 2019, as the two first women to venture outside of the International Space Station, a milestone achievement. Jessica Meir readies for the all-female spacewalk

The first all-female spacewalk is back, six months after a flap over spacesuits led to an embarrassing cancellation. NASA announced Friday that the two U.S. astronauts aboard the International Space Station will pair up for a spacewalk later this month.
