Hillary Rodham Clinton is a politician with a historic, storied career. Starting out as a lawyer, she rose the ranks in American politics by becoming the Senator of New York, then the Secretary of State under President Barack Obama, in 2008. She ran as a Democratic candidate for president twice, first in the 2008 race, though she ultimately lost the nomination to Obama in the primaries. She ran again in the 2016 race and made history. She is the first woman to ever become a party’s nominee in a presidential direction. Sadly, she lost the general election to President Donald Trump. She has since stated that she does not want to run for president again. Clinton met her husband, former President Bill Clinton, when they were both students at Yale Law School in the 1970s. The couple have been married for 44 years, and remain strong despite his cheating scandal that led to his impeachment in 1998. Hillary and Bill have one daughter together, Chelsea Clinton.
