Elton John is the latest artist to win an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony, joining only a handful of others who have achieved this level of prestige.
Winning an Oscar, a Grammy, an Emmy or a Tony is truly an honor, but achieving “EGOT” status is even more rare! Only a handful of artists, performers and other public figures have won all four awards, and they’re leaving behind their quadruple threat legacy in show business.
Elton John is the latest celebrity to join Hollywood’s most prestigious group. After winning an Emmy for his Disney+ film, Elton John Live: Farewell From Dodger Stadium, the “Hold Me Closer” artist expressed what an honor this was for him via Instagram in January 2024.
Elton joined several fellow A-listers from the industry, including Viola Davis, John Legend and Jennifer Hudson.
