USA Protests President Trump
In 2016, it came as a shock to all when Donald J. Trump won the US presidential election. His opponent in the race, Hilary Clinton, gained the support of democrats across the nation, but evidently it was not enough to “trump” Trump. The Republican votes surpassed those of Clinton’s, and before America knew it, Trump was the nations new president. However, upon winning the election, protests broke out in various cities across America against the new president in office, deeming his views and plans for America in the years ahead discriminatory, unjust, and even racist to some.
New York City was one of the major cities that engaged in anti-Trump protests in November 2016. Pictured here, protesters took to the streets following an anti-trump demonstration in front of Trump Tower in Manhattan shortly after the closing day of the election.
