‘Persuasion’ is a new Netflix film inspired by Jane Austen’s classic 1818 novel of the same name. Dakota Johnson stars as Anne Elliot, the heroine at the center of the story. Cosmo Jarvis, Henry Golding, Richard E. Grant, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Suki Waterhouse, and Ben Bailey are among Dakota’s cast members in the film.
The official synopsis for the film is: ‘Living with her snobby family on the brink of bankruptcy, Anne Elliot is an unconforming woman with modern sensibilities. When Frederick Wentworth—the dashing one she let get away—crashes back into her life, Anne must choose between putting the past behind her or listening to her heart when it comes to second chances.’
