Biggest Feuds of 2019
There was very little peace to be had this year for these celebrities. Drama came in all shapes and sizes with the feuds between these stars. Some were downright nasty, while others were jabs lobbed back and forth at one another from a distance. Fans took sides, and other celebrities got involved, while some stars went on the defense and others maintained their innocence. A lot of these feuds still have yet to fully come to a conclusion, which means 2020 will see the next chapters of their development. While the rest of the world might be singing of ‘peace on earth and mercy mild,’ these stars are heading into 2020 with thick skin, ready to let go of old qualms or move forward for the next round of attacks. Taylor Swift vs. Scooter Braun
Taylor Swift is not a woman to mess with. She and Scooter began their feud when Scoot acquired Big Machine Records, thereby owning all of Taylor’s music up until 2017’s ‘Reputation.’ When Taylor wanted to perform her greatest hits at the AMAs, she claimed that Scooter and his colleagues wouldn’t let her and even cited him as a ‘bully’ for his behavior. The pair have yet to settle their dispute.
Eminem vs. Nick Cannon
Eminem, once again, brought up his highly contested relationship with Mariah Carey and Nick, her former husband, was not a fan. Nick released three diss tracks against Eminem and even dragged his family into it. While Eminem has yet to make an official response, these two are heading into 2020 in full fight mode.
Khloe Kardashian vs. Jordyn Woods
In a feud that should have seen Tristan Thompson at the center of the drama, Khloe Kardashian lashed out at Jordyn Woods for making out with her then partner at a February party in 2019. Jordyn was essentially ex-communicated from the Kardashian family and spent more time defending herself than moving past the drama. While Khloe has seemingly forgiven Jordyn, while still holding her reserve on Tristan, things between these two are far from amicable.
Liam Payne vs. Piers Morgan
The battle of the Brits! When Piers Morgan claimed that Kylie Jenner was only named the youngest billionaire, and was essentially famous thanks to her sister, Kim’s, sex tape, Liam stood up for the makeup mogul. “At least @KylieJenner has her own business she built herself why not congratulate someone for once instead of knocking people,” Liam expressed on social media. Of course, Piers didn’t let the quip go that easily, responding to Liam with “Sorry could you say it louder from the back of the line of irrelevant people please.” Yikes!
Anjelica Huston vs. Jacki Weaver
Oscar winner vs. Oscar nominee. Anjelica wasn’t particularly a big fan of Jacki’s movie ‘Poms’ which released in 2019. In fact, she called it, “An old-lady cheerleader movie,” in an interview with Vulture, adding she didn’t like “that kind of thing.” In response, “Poms” star Jacki Weaver made her own retort in Vanity Fair, adding, “I would say she must be going through menopause, but she must have had that ages ago.”
Bella Thorne vs. Tana Mongeau
Bella Thron and Tana Mongeau seemed really quite entralled with one another during their relationship but things quickly turned sour after the couple split. Bella accused Tana of “breaking girl code” and only dating her for Twitter. Tana was totally caught off guard and things haven’t been the same between the two since.
Wendy Williams vs. Christie Brinkley
Wendy Williams made a bold claim when she saw a video of Christie Brinkley practicing to be on the 2019 season of ‘Dancing With The Stars.’ When the video showed the former supermodel shattering her wrist, Wendy claimed that it didn’t look that intense, even invoking she might have been faking it. Andy Cohen vs. Tituss Burgess
There are some things that guests don’t like to be asked and Andy Cohen crossed a line with Tituss Burgess. Tituss was not in the mood to answer questions from Andy about his co-star, Eddie Murphy’s, past jokes about homosexuality after they worked together on ‘Dolemite Is My Name.’ Tituss even went on Wendy Williams’s talk show to air his frustrations, as Andy took to his radio show to vent his about the uncomfortable interaction.
Hannah Brown vs. Luke “P” Parker
Hannah and Luke seemed meant to be on Hannah’s season of ‘The Bachelorette.’ But things turned sour when Luke gaslighted Hannah for exploring her sexual relationship with her final four guys. She memorably sent her potential suitor home directly from her dinner date.
James Charles vs. Tati Westbrook
YouTub influence James Charles seemingly betrayed his mentor Tati Westbrook with some dramatic fallout. In addition to her earnings from her YouTube channel, Tati makes money from her beauty line, Halo Beauty. It was a huge shock, then, to her when James announced his new line of work with one of Tati’s rivals. Tati responded to their fallout with a 43-minute video, in which she claimed her “close friend” betrayed her trust.
