This year’s BFI London Film Festival brought tons of A-list movie stars to the city to celebrate the best of cinema from Oct. 5 to Oct. 16, 2022. Hosted in partnership with the British Film Institute, the event screens over 300 films, documentaries and shorts over its two weeks.

Opening night kicked off with a gala and screening of Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical, starring Emma Thompson. The closing night gala will featured the world premiere of Rian Johnson’s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. Other high-profile projects screening during the fest include Harry Styles My Policeman, the Brendan Fraiser-fronted Darren Aronofsky-directed drama The Whale, and White Noise.

Once the stars arrived the festival’s fashion began to compete with the movies for the spotlight. Dame Judy Dench was classic while rocking a black suit and velvet scarf on the red carpet on Oct. 9, ahead of the premiere of Allelujah.
