While Sofia Vergara, 44, has reportedly been eager to start a family with her husband-of-one-year Joe Manganiello, 39, now is NOT the time! Sofia has apparently been beyond stressed over her recent legal war with her ex Nick Loeb, 41, over her fertilized eggs, and she is not in the right state-of-mind to welcome a baby. And although Radar Online claimed last week that Sofia and Joe are expecting a springtime baby via surrogate, HollywoodLife.com is able to shut those rumors down!
“Sofia is not pregnant, nor is a surrogate for her and Joe,” an insider revealed to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Any rumors or stories saying otherwise are not true. Furthermore, Sofia and Joe have put on hold trying to have a baby even though they have wanted to start their own family since the day they got married.” And as it turns out, the reason for their “hold” is this crazy lawsuit over the Modern Family star’s eggs.

“Sofia is really upset right now and is focusing her energy on fighting her ex Nick and his desire to use her frozen embryos,” our source added. “She is pissed and annoyed that Nick is fighting her in what is becoming an expensive battle.” And we don’t blame Sofia for feeling overwhelmed. After all, this legal war is beyond bizarre as the brunette beauty’s frozen embryos are suing her for not allowing them to be born!
The female embryos are listed as plaintiffs, according to court papers that were filed in Louisiana and obtained by the New York Post, and have already been named “Emma” and “Isabella.” Obviously Nick is behind this strange case, and the embryos are suing Sofia for not allowing them to be born and gain a sizable inheritance!
Nick also wants full custody of the embryos, which they created and froze in 2013, and demands that Sofia has no parental rights at all! Talk about a messy case. Hopefully once things calm down, Sofia and Joe can finally concentrate on starting a family of their own!
